Intensive Care Medicine

Intensive care medicine, as part of anaesthetics, has its own separate curriculum.

This slightly chunky curriculum is largely skills-based, rather than knowledge-based, leaving one slightly perplexed as to exactly which ICM topics the Final FRCA covers.

There's little help from the FICM curriculum or FFICM exam syllabus, so the topics contained below were my 'best guess' as to the breadth of the required learning.

This section could be called 'ICM for anaesthetists', and it pales in comparison to the detail found in other pure ICM-based resources (e.g. Deranged Physiology).
